Crashed at Berlin on 3 Feb 45 in B-17 'Sitten Pretty' 44-6170, Prisoner of War (POW). Took a direct flak hit over the target. The #2 engine caught fire and witnesses saw the B-17 go into a shallow dive and pull out this happened twice before it disappeared.
