Lewis N Elwood

Lewis Elwood was working on his parents' farm in Ohio in 1940. Enlisting in November 1942, he was sent overseas and was assigned to the 389th Bomb Group in England. He was Top Turret Gunner on B-24J #42-100046 'Patsy Ann' when it crashed shortly after takeoff, believed due to severe icing conditions on a mission to Gilze-Rijen airfield, Holland on 10 February 1944. Killed in Action (KIA).
