John Henry Hamilton Jr
Military ROLL OF HONOURCo-pilot, Schrader, Crew. 381st BG, 533rd BS, 8th AF. Original member of the 533rd BS and Hendricks crew. 533rd Squadron Operations Officer. Cpt Hamilton replaced original crew member 2Lt Kenneth Johnson as co-pilot on the mission. Shot down 25 June 1943 in B-17 #42-30027. Mission #3 to Hamburg, Germany. MACR 162. KIA. The aircraft crashed near Bensersiel. Germany. His body was never found. Recorded on the Tablets of the Missing ad Lost at Sea in Cambridge AMC. He has a headstone only at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
