Update
After marriage in 1941, Harry enlisted for the draft, and in his own words " being patriotic or probably knowing the regular draft would get me sooner or later and I would be drafted into the regular Army, I decided I would enlist in the Army Air Corps".
One of the Bomber Boys he was stationed with the 448th Bomb Group, 714th Bomb Squadron at Seething. He flew 29 missions as a member of Bryson's crew. The war ended before being able to complete number 30.
After the end of the war in Europe he went back to work for the same company for another 40 years. He and his wife of 73 years raised 3 sons.
