Bombardier, Disbrow crew. 381st BG, 353th BS, 8th AF. Shot down 17 August 1943 in B-17 #42-3225 'Chug-a-Lug Lu-Lu'. Mission #20 "Black Tuesday" to the ball bearing works at Schweinfurt, Germany. MACR 378. Lt Gaydos was wounded by 20mm fire in the nose of the plane. Prisoner of War at Stalag Luft III and Stalag XVIIA.
