The Sorensen Crew (Crew #489) with Marcus O. Edwards aboard as command pilot had to abort bomb run 5 miles from target on the 23 March 1945 mission. Upon return to Attlebridge, landed without brakes and crashed into a parked aircraft on Hardstand #36. The Sorensen Crew were flying "Cindy." "Consolidated Mess" was parked on the hardstand.
