On 8 March 1944 "Yankee-Rebel Harmony" was making her second daylight bombing run on Berlin. The primary target was in flames, so the crew set there sights on the secondary target. Just as the "BOMBS AWAY" was given, the aircraft took a hit from anti-aircraft fire. From this point on the amazing story of her crash and the dramatic escape into the Dutch Underground of most of the crew.
