Campbell; Tail Gunner: Herman L. Hodge (4 Killed in Action); Co-pilot: Ronald H. Duncan; Navigator: Herbert E. Levy; Radio Operator: Everett E. Culp; Ball turret gunner: Lee R. Brim; Waist gunner: Arthur W. Schinker; Waist gunner: Duane P. Thayer (6 Prisoner of War). Flak set engine on fire. Pilot Larson gave the order to leave the ship. Six men managed to jump but the Fortress exploded before the pilot, bombardier, top turret gunner and tail gunner could bail out. Crashed near Delecke, six miles South of Soest, Germany.
