Delivered Long Beach 3/11/43; Kearney 14/11/43; Assigned 534BS/381BG [GD-O] Ridgewell 22/1/44; mid-air coll with 42-97511 (381BG) peeling off over field on returning from Aschaffenberg 21/1/45, with Val Crofts, Co-pilot: Nicholas Tauro, Navigator: Seymour Sobole, tog-Ed Jones, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Gildo Pannacione, Radio Operator: Morris Shapiro, Ball turret gunner: Allen Taylor, Waist gunner: John York, Tail gunner: Milton Swarts (9 Killed in Action); crashed in base area on approach.
