Delivered Denver 15/1/44; Gr Island 21/1/44; Assigned 729BS/452BG Deopham Green 10/2/44; Missing in Action Ruhland 21/6/44 with Lou Hernandez, Pilot, - enemy aircraft KOd #2 and #3, crashed Swory, near Biala, Podlaska, Pol. Missing Air Crew Report 10282. "BTO IN THE ETO".



Aircraft 38202/Q belonged to the 452nd BG 8th AF and crashed 21 JUN 1944 after bomb targets in Nazi Germany and on their way to Połtava Air Base/ Ukraine. Because of damages taken during the mission, crew decided to jump out off damage plane. 3 of the crew captured by Germans:

Rest of the crew joined Polish guerrilla unit 34th PP AK "Zenon" and fought against the Germans. They moved to Russia year after to rejoin the US Air Force.
