Lost on 9 September 1944 during a carpetbagger operation to resupply Norwegian resistance fighters with armament during Operation Ball.
The aircraft was flying from Leuchars in Scotland, when it collided with a mountain in Skorve, Norway. All 11 men on board were killed.
