My father, Samuel D. Scorza, was a navigator in the 755th Squadron. His crew trained with the original cadre in Tonopah, Nevada in late 1943 and moved tot he ETO via the Southern Ferry Route in January 1944. They flew their missions between March and June, finishing up just after D-Day. I have created a website dedicated to the men of the 458th, and have co-authored the group history, "Liberators Over Norwich" with Ron Mackay and Mike Bailey.
