I'm just a regular guy that is very interested in World War II history. I am researching my family members' roles and involvement during the war. My grandfather , Ralph W. Turner, was stationed on Guam and served in the 55th Reconnaissance Squadron under the 3rd and 20th Air Force. I'm not really sure what his role was but their main aircraft of operations was a modified B-24. My wife's grandfather, Clarence B. Flinn, was stationed at Podington and served in the 8th Air Force, 92nd Bomb Group, 327th Bomb Squadron. He flew in B-17s and His role was Radio Operator.
