My father was Tazwell Birk Wingfield, flight officer and navigator on a B-17 flying out of (Mildenhall? - near Bury St. Edmunds) England, whose plane was disabled on its 3rd mission. He guided them to Switzerland where he was interned at Camp Davos Platz for 9 months. At first he was listed as M.I.A.
