I am a U. S. Air Force veteran, 1961 - 1965. My WWII connection is my uncle George E. Forslund, a member of the 338th squadron 96th Bomb Group, co-pilot of the B-17 "Boot Hill", the first combat loss for the 96th Bomb Group in which he was killed. After a career with the NCR corportation I have been a museum manager, photo and historic researcher in Bend, Oregon. I like recording history for the future generations to have as a reminder as to why they have the freedoms they enjoy.
