The Six Triple Eight

Dive deeper into the stories depicted in the Netflix film The Six Triple Eight. Scheduled for release in December 2024, The Six Triple Eight tells the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion - the only unit of Black American women to be sent overseas during the Second World War. Led by Major Charity Adams, the 6888th was stationed in Birmingham, where they undertook the mammoth task of sorting millions of letters for delivery to U.S. soldiers in the European Theatre. The film, directed by Tyler Perry, stars Kerry Washington, Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, and Oprah Winfrey.

A Welcome to Britain

The film A Welcome to Britain presents a guide to British society, behaviour and wartime conditions and was made for American troops arriving in the UK prior to the Normandy Landings.
