The Six Triple Eight

Scheduled for release in December 2024, The Six Triple Eight tells the story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion - the only unit of Black American women to be sent overseas during the Second World War. Led by Major Charity Adams, the 6888th was stationed in Birmingham, where they undertook the mammoth task of sorting millions of letters for delivery to U.S. soldiers in the European Theatre. The film, directed by Tyler Perry, stars Kerry Washington, Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, and Oprah Winfrey.
