The US Special Reception Centre at 63 Brook Street provided interrogation and debriefs for airmen who had evaded capture.
63 Brook Street was designed and constructed by George Thomas Hine in 1909 on the site of a townhouse originally constructed in 1725. From 1921- 1937 it was occupied by Colonel Sir Theodore Brinkman, 3rd Baronet. The building was renovated in the late 20th Century and is now leased to businesses.
