Irving H Breslauer
MilitaryIrv Breslauer, who before he celebrated his 21st Birthday, flew 35 jmissions as a B-17 navigator in WWII. Died in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he was 83. A native of New York City, he left Queens College in 1942, enlisted in the Army and transferred to the Air Corps after basic training. Among the 35 missions were "shuttle bombing" runs that landed in Russia to refuel, an airdrop of supplies to the French Underground and D-Day bombing.' - Excerpt from obituary in 'Lord Guard & Guide'

Irving H. Breslauer was my father. He flew B-17s as a navigator, and went on to serve until he retired in 1973. His last duty station was Scott A.F.B. in Illinois, where he was Director of Information for MAC.
