Howard A Breson

He enlisted with his brother in October 1941 and they remained together throughout training and were both assigned to the 96thBG at Snetterton Heath in England. One of seven air mechanics who were awarded a Bronze Star 30 Aug 1944 for servicing a total of 312 sorties without one of their planes aborting due to mechanical failures.
Was crew Chief on "Kiplings Error" and had his leg shot off in 'friendly fire' by the ball turret gunner. He was discharged as a disabled veteran and worked afterwards for John Deere and Co. in Dubuque for 33 years..
