Killed in Action (KIA) Shot down by flak and crashed at Gelnannes on 8/8/44 in B-17 Chow Hound #4231367. Body recovered by US team in 2004 and identified in 2006. Body returned to family and will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in 2006.
