Damaged by flak and later attacked by fighters on the return from a mission to Berlin on 22 Mar 1944, B-17G #42-31524 crash-landed at Horsey Gap, Norfolk after four crewman baled out near Vechta, Germany. RTD.







Earlier 1 December 1943as a gunner on return from mission to Solingen, severe turbulence over England forced the crew to bale out near Lasham in B17#42-30714 ÒHustling SueÓ piloted by CPT. George Reese. 1 KOM 9 RTD.
