Completed bombardier school Roswell, NM & promoted to Flight Officer 05/28/1943. Promoted to Second Lt. 03/07/1944. Awarded "Lucky Bastard" certificate 10/15/1944. Remained is service until retiring on 05/26/1965 as Lt. Col. from the 96th Strategic Aerospace Wing, Dyess, AFB, Abilene, TX. He loved every minute of it.
