Harold E Bentz
MilitaryShot down 29 May 1943 in B-17 #4229531 on 9th mission over German-occupied France while bombing submarine pens on the coast. All 10 crew members bailed out. Two Killed in Action (KIA) as their chutes failed to open. Six were captured. One escaped to Spain. Bentz evaded and escaped to rejoin his unit.
