MilitaryCollided with another aircraft 27 May 1944 in B-17 #42-102475, Killed in Action (KIA).
Last seen in the radio room on the floor throwing out chaff with out his chute on. His chute was seen under the radio room table. When the right waist gunner went out through the radio room, SSGT Galbreath was not seen. It is believed that he was thrown clear of the plane without his chute.
