Gerald Vincent Doody
MilitaryHis squadron chose him to escort Buffalo NY's Senator Mead on his tour of American installations in England. During a blackout Oct. 8 1943, a jeep Sergeant. Doody was riding in, collided with another vehicle. Doody was critically injured and died the next day, Oct. 9, 1943. His name is listed on the Roll of Honour in St. Paul's Cathedral in London, England.
