George Scratchley Brown Jr

Took part in Operation Tidal Wave, the raid on Ploesti on 1 August 1943, flying B-24 Liberator (serial number 41-23682)

Later promoted to four-star General, and served with Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter as chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff. Also served in Vietnam.

Died of prostate cancer.
