George Scratchley Brown took part in Operation Tidal Wave, the bombing mission to Ploesti, Romania, flying the B-2D Liberator, 41-23682.



He was later promoted to Four Star General and served with Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Jimmy Carter as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and also served in Vietnam.



He died on December 5th, 1978.
