Object Number - UPL 39517 - Lt George Fagerquist, Pilot, 24 Liberator Born, 1925, Austin Texas Passed, 2003, Dallas Texas Hero, Husband, Father, Friend.

My Father was born in a farming community outside of Austin Texas in 1925. As a boy he worked 6 days a week, sun up to sun down. His only time off was Sunday afternoons when he hunter rattle snakes riding a deaf mule. Like every young man he joined up at the age of 17 and never looked back. He always had fond memories of the war and the friends he served with. Especially the English people. After the war he settled in Dallas, married Emily Spieght and raised 3 boys and one daughter. He retired from a business he started in commercial art. He was a great husband, dad and friend. He is missed.
