24 April 1943 in 379th's move to England, ac B-17F 42-3132 was lost flying from Gander, Newfoundland to Scotland. The 526th Sq. disappeared over the atlantic enroute from Gander Bay Newfoundland to Preswick, Scotland April 24th 1943.
