Flew 16 missions Feb- April 1945. On 15 Feb 1945, flak damaged B-17 #43-38199. Pilot Lt. Volz flew damaged aircraft behind Soviet lines and force landed at frozen swamp that had been used as a German airfield near Deblin, Poland.
