Staff Sergeant Allen D. Patterson was born January 20, 1921. His next of kin wee his mother, Alice Patterson, and his sister, Grace Lazuik. He was from New London, Connecticut.

On January 29, 1944, he was serving as the Right Waist Gunner aboard “Hustlin’ Hussy” B-17 #42-30354, of the 385th Bomb Group, 549th Bomb Squadron, when it went down over Anderlues, Belgium. He was the only member of his crew to be killed in the crash.

Initially buried in the Gosselies Communal cemetery, his remains were brought after the war to the US Military Cemetery at Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium. Allen Patterson rests at Plot B, Row 39, Grave 45
