Eugene F Schmitt
Military ROLL OF HONOURShot down by flak and crashed near Poix, France on a mission to Ardouval and Marquenville on 13 February 1944 in B-17G #42-31160. Killed in Action (KIA). His name is recorded on the Tablets of the Missing at the Ardennes American Cemetery.
(There were two Eugene F Schmitt's in 710th Squadron. Other one lived in Aberdeen SD and was a Prisoner of War (POW) on 6 October 1944)

Two records for Eugene F Schmitt of the 710th Bomb Squadron were merged when the records on the AAM website were made because of the high degree of similarity between them. However, as the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum have noted, there were two men of the same name in the same squadron.
