Plane 46584 involved in accident on return. In Brussels area, plane flown by 2nd Lieutenant Arthur Huether of 327th encountered prop wash and dropped into Erwin Schmidt's plane. Both planes spiralled down with Schmidt's plane breaking into 3 pieces. 1 parachute exited the plane. S/Sergeant Edward W. Bartley was the only survivor.
