Le Bourget, France 27 December 1944 Lost engines #3 and #4 and only had 1/2 power on #2. This happened about 10 miles SE or Verdun. Made a low speed landing without brakes at Le Bourget Airfield. Used up all the run way, killed a jackrabbit and snapped off the nose gear before coming to a stop. B-24J-5-DT #42-51352
