On 28 Jan 1944 on landing from an operational mission, B-24H #41-29147 'Sad Sack' landed short of the runway and crashed into a bank along a road. RTD.



Forced to ditch in the North Sea after being hit by flak and/or fighters on the return from an aborted mission to Genshagen on 6 Mar 1944 in B-24J #42-100288 'Maj. Hoople', Killed in Action (KIA).
