Edward J Norkett

Military

Catholic chaplain. Members of the 491st recall him always being at the end of the runway when they took off and in the de-briefing room when they returned. After the war he worked first for an orphanage and then did twenty years at the Westside Veterans Hospital in Chicago. He finally was chaplain at Fort Sheridan on Lake Michigan but was always available when his services were needed.
