Edward Franklin Taylor
Military ROLL OF HONOUREdward Taylor was Pilot of A/C #41-23779 '4-Q-2' on a mission to Weiner Neustadt on October 1, 1943. Plane was attacked by fighters. Lost #3 engine, radio and electric systems. Taylor landed at an Aussie base outside of Bari, Italy. Spent a few days at the base working on the plane. Returned to Tunis where the crew was TDY to the 9th AAC.
Pilot of B-24 #42-7544 shot down 1 December 1943. Plane crashed near Passendale, Belgium. Missing Air Crew Report- MACR 1382. Evaded capture, helped by Belgian citizens and members of the Résistance.
