Edward F Hautman

Edward Hautman served as a pilot with the 445th Bomb Group.



He was Killed in Action (KIA) on 27 September 1944 when B-24 (serial number 42-109789, nicknamed 'Mairzy Doats') crashlanded 2 1/2 km sw of Bassenheim, Germany, 16 km east of Mayen, 11 km west of Koblenz.

He was one of the servicemen honoured by the Sayler Park Historical Society at their Memorial Day service in 2015.
