Entered service at Ft. Benjamin Harrison. 9 Nov 1942. Joined 392nd BG Dec 1943 at Indianapolis, IN. Rank at end of WW II was T/Sergeant. Pilot-George Haffermen. Attacked by fighters on the return from a mission to Friedrichshafen, GR on 18 Mar 1944 in B-24H #42-109826 'The Arsenal', some of the crew baled out , but the rest continued on crashed landed E of Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Prisoner of War (POW). Freed 29 Apr 1945, Moosburg, Germany.
