David Koubeck was Tail Gunner on board B-17 44-8446 of the 306th Bomb Group / 369th Bomb Squadron when it was hit by Flak on the 10 January 1945 mission to Gymnich, Germany. Dave was wounded and was immediately arrested in the Köln (Cologne) area. Prisoner of War (POW). Interned in Germany, he was freed at the end of May 1945 and was repatriated to the United States.



He flew on Harold Mattson crew. Reported to the ETO on 25 Oct 1944.
