Military ROLL OF HONOURFind A Grave Memorial# 111205352
Killed in Action (KIA), hit by flak, trying to get back to base their B-24 'Alfred' 42-7485, lost 3 engines but got them restarted, lost fuel and realized they might have to ditch in North Sea. Did make it back to land and crashed near Sheringham.
Apparently transferred out of the 384th before the Group moved overseas, and was replaced on the Riches Crew by 2LT Richard J McCray.
