Albert Ramm was a Pilot in the 55th Fighter Group / 338th Fighter Squadron. Assigned to the Squadron on 11 August 1944, he flew a total of 67 missions and is listed as a Flying Ace, credited with :
* a shared DFS-230 destroyed in air combat over Dromersheim, Germany on 28 August 1944
* a Fw190 destroyed on the ground at Vorden airfield, Gelderland, The Netherlands on 26 November 1944
* 4 enemy aircraft (among which 2 Ju-88s) destroyed on the ground at Giebelstadt, Germany on 6 January 1945.
Flying low to celebrate the end of his tour on 27 February 1945, his Mustang, Serial 44-14730 hit a telephone pole at Wormingford. The plane's right wing was damaged but Ramm nevertheless managed to land the plane without further damage.
