Charles R Patten
MilitaryCorrected Bomb Group to 306th Bomb Group.
On his 6th mission, he flew as waist gunner on Lt. William H. Marcotte crew on the 13 June 1943 Bremen mission. According to Russell Strong: 'Patten had visions of being a flyer himself; he thought that by completing twenty-five missions in any capacity he could be homeward bound and then get into pilot training'. Patten was afterwards owner of the Colfax Envelope Co supplying the Group at no charge. His son took over the business.
