Assigned to 734BS, 453BG, 8AF USAAF. On 25-Aug-44 (penultimate mission), made it to Sweden with 1 1/2 engines at landing. Having been in aircraft engineering prior to being a pilot, was asked if I would help with the maintenance of our B-24s being held in internment.
