ETTG, Hendricks crew. 381st BG, 533rd BS. Shot down 9 October 1943 in B-17 #42-30012. Mission #37 to the Focke-Wulf plant at Anklam, Germany. MACR 887. The aircraft left formation with #1 engine smoking and was attacked by fighters, knocking out #2 and #3 engines. the aircraft exploded as it crashed into North Sea. Killed in Action (KIA). Name on the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge AMC.
