Roy Thomas Travers

Military

Travers served with the USAAF in North Africa and Europe, serving in the UK as bombardier in the First Air Division. He was awarded the Air Medal on 23 April 1945, and commissioned a bespoke tailored uniform from Saville Row, London in May 1945.



After the War, Travers studied at St Louis University, and served in executive positions with a number of furniture retailers. He was vice President of Sleep Station mattress company, which he founded with his son c. 1975.
