He registered for the WW II draft on 29 January 1942; he was listed as living in Niles, Michigan and was employed the New York Central Railroad. He was 6' tall; weighed 160 pounds; had black hair, brown eyes and a 'ruddy' complexion.
On 28 December 1942 he entered the service from Kalamazoo, Michigan as a private. He had four years of high school education, was Married and his civilian occupation was listed as: "Semiskilled brakemen, railroad".
We have Private First Class Adams listed on the 437th TCG Special Order #6, dated 10 May 1943 as being assigned from the William Beaumont General Hospital, El Paso, Texas, to the 84th TCS. On 01 June 1943, he was promoted to Corporal.
