Salem, Virginia | 11 March 2012 | Paul King Eller Paul King Eller, 89, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012, while surrounded by his family. Mr. Eller was born on Feb. 14, 1923, to the late Henry Clinton and Mollie King Eller in Tazewell County, Va. Following high school he attended Coyne College located in Chicago to earn a certificate in electrical technology, and was later drafted in the U.S. Army Air Corps to serve his country during WWII. During his enlistment he flew over 70 successful missions as a top turret gunner on the B25 bomber. He later became a lifetime member of the 57th Bomb Wing Association to honor those he served with. He will also be remembered for his faithful dedication to College Lutheran Church as he has been a member since 1957, and also his employment to General Electric as he was employed for a near 28 years prior to his retirement in 1984. |
