Assigned to 392FS, 367FG, 9AF USAAF. Killed in action on 14-Aug-44 in P-38 Lightning 44-23503 during a fighter sweep north of Paris. Jaeger observed a group of trucks but misjudged his dive to investigate and struck the trees causing his aircraft to crash.
