Rouen, France 27 August 1944 Completed 58 combat missions with the 416th BG Lt. Anthony Durante, who has been with the Squadron since Lake Charles, was transferred to a Liaison Squadron near the front lines the first part of September. He had 53 missions to his credit and had come back more than once with a riddled plane. He is flying Cubs now and returned· to Wethersfield to see the old Squadron before it left for France. He said he liked his job, which consisted mainly of flying to Paris and back.
