Lt. Jack Reiter was a navigator assigned to the 515th Bomb Squadron, the 376th Bomb Group, temporarily detached (TDY) to the 9th Air Force, USAAF. He was assigned to Lt. Don Hurd's crew, the navigator of the B-24D, 42-40664, Teggie Ann, the lead B-24D attacking Rome, July 1943.



Teggie Ann, failed to Return (FTR) from Foggia, Italy, shot down by enemy fighters. Hurd and his crew bailed out successfully and were taken prisoners. Aug 16, 1943. 10 POW. MACR 298.
